I have purchased 5 vehicles from Berkenkotter Motors in Castle Rock and Brighton over the past 14 years for my family. 91 Mazda 626, 95 Honda Civic, 97 Lexus Es300, 2001 Acura MDX, 2003 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel. Each vehicle had over 50,000 miles on them when I bought them. I still own the Ford and the Lexus. All the other vehicles had over 120,000 mile on them and I sold them myself. The lexus has over 220,000 miles on it and I am planning to trade it in on a different vehicle at Berkenkotter Motors. When I buy vehicles I do the research on them Because I am buying vehicles used and as is and do not know how the vehicle was treated by the previous owner I have it checked out by my mechanic. If my mechanic says that the vehicle is in good or excellent shape then I look to the reviews for that make and model on the internet for problems and take the positve and negative reviews with a grain of salt so to say. If it looks like the vehicle has had the same issues then I negogiate the extended warranty into my deal. So far I have purchase two warrenties. One on the 2001 Acura MDX because of transmission problems and one on the Ford F350 because of 6.0 diesel problems. I used the warranty on the MDX after owning it for three months. The Acura dealership put in a brand new transmission with my warranty. I have not had an issues with any of the other vehicles I purchased. I continue to return to Berkenkotter Motors because I like their selection and I like working with them and I know that I can always get into a vehicle for the right price. I know that when I purchase a vehicle that it is purchaded "AS IS" and that is why I will take it to my mechanic first and if there is a problem then I will look at something else. I have never had a problem. I am a family of five with three teenage drivers on a limited budget and cannot afford problems. The other reviews I have read come from people who will have problems with any used car dealerships because they dont seem to understand

This dealership defines the term "great customer service". We are a retired couple looking to upgrade our gas RV to a diesel pusher. We visited the dealer to look at a unit that seemed to meet our needs. The staff went out of their way to help us by taking the time to understand our situation and examine all our options. After visiting several other RV dealers, It became clear to us that these were the guys we wanted to do business with. Throughout the transaction we were treated with courtesy and respect. They not only gave us a great deal but stepped in to suggest ways for us to get maximum dollar for our old RV. The most telling indication of the character of this place occurred on our way home after taking delivery when we sprang a serious diesel fuel leak. Both Dan and Glenn in Castle Rock responded immediately sending their mechanic from Parker to meet us. We drove to Parker where the leak was quickly fixed. Now they have offered to sell our old RV to try and maximize our return. Throughout the whole process, both Dan and Glenn remained in constant contact making sure of everything. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the way to run a business!

Very friendly, Great Service, Knowledgeable about vehicles, clean location, staff is excellent to work with. Paperwork handled very professionally, great deals on great vehicles. Love my truck, never given me any issues, purchased the warranty and have had no problems- Love It!

I have bought a total of 2 trucks from The Brighton Location. They go beyond what is required to make the "deal". If they don't have what you are looking for at the location you are at but there is a truck at another store (they have 4 locations) they will arrange the transfer of the truck for you. So you do not have to drive to the other stores. I told them that I wanted a 12v Cummins that was in "good" shape. They did not have it in stock. As soon as one came in stock I was called and the deal was signed within 24 hrs of the truck arriving at the Dealer. Harti, George, Derek, and Mike work very hard to make car shopping easy on me. I have bought cars / trucks from other dealers over the years and it was always a headache. But here at Berkenkotter I did not have any headaches and have come back to buy a 2nd truck. (which was the 12v cummins.) My first one was a F350 in June of 2012.

Recently Bought a Dodge Pickup at Berkenkotter Motors. The sales process went great, during which they not only let me take it on multiple test drives, use it for an afternoon, but offered it to me for a whole weekend before I had made a decision. But that's not the half of it. Three days after I took ownership, I was told my tail lights were out. Replaced the fuse, nothing happened. Had a local shop take a look at it, and they gave me an estimate of close to $700 to fix a fuse box and module. I was a little upset, called the dealership, and to make a long story short...they took in the truck, repaired it, and took care of it totally, and on top of that, they gave me a loaner truck for 3 days while they did it. Never have I had a dealership do something like that for me in buying a used truck or car. Dan, BJ, and Glen....You guys rock, and so does your dealership!!! I will buy my next truck from them and recommend them highly.

We are repeat customers of the Brighton location and this last time we bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee. They did not have one in stock but after calling them and telling them what I wanted, they called me back the next week and said they had one that would fit all my requirements. We looked, drove, and bought. Paperwork and all were done in about an hour. They can make things simple in a complicated world. I have found everywhere in life, if you are nice to them, they will be nice to you.

We purchased a used truck recently from Berkenkotter Motors in Castle Rock CO. After having bought a piece of junk elesewhere, we wanted to get rid of it and find a better value used vehicle. We visited a few dealerships, and found the services and inventory best at Berkenkotter. The people at Berkenkotter Motors are genuine and interested in being helpful - not just in moving their inventory. They had a good variety of inventory, and took time to talk about pros and cons of different vehicle choices, being honest and transparent about the weaknesses versus the strengths of the cars we were considering. They were willing to brainstorm different purchase / financing scenarios, and never made us feel pressured or frustrated. We walked away being glad we had given them our money, and knowing we would buy from them again, as well as recommend them to other people. Dan and Glen were great. I had a 10 year old GMC Envoy which I was selling in order to buy a new car. Obviously, I wanted to maximize my sell price while also minimizing the tax hit. Dan came up with a plan where I could trade in my vehicle through the new car dealer and he would buy it directly from them. Worked out great! Dan and Glen are good folk and trust worthy. Which was not my expectation when I originally pulled onto their lot.

I went into Berkenkotter Motors looking for a used truck. Glenn was the first person I saw and he immediately got to work on helping me find the right truck. He listened to what I needed and showed me some trucks that were on the lot. None of the trucks were quite within my price range so we went inside & he showed me what they had to offer at the other locations in and around denver. One truck caught my eye but it was all the way in Brighton. He offered to drive it down just so that i could take a look! We ended up buying the truck. He made the process easy and he listened to me throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Berkenkotter Motors to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

I found a truck on line and the price was right and the pictures looked good. I called and they know the truck right off and were very easy to deal with. From seeing it on line to driving it home took less than 4 hours of my time and the best part was that when I called to say the wiper blades were awful, they had a set waiting there the next morning and put them on for me when I stopped back by. GREAT PLACE!!!

My wife and I went to Berkenkotter to help our son buy a truck that he just had to have. I went into the dealership in a bad mood just because I wasn't ready to have the sit down for 4 hours and make a deal. Needless to say it was the exact opposite in this dealership! The selection of trucks was excellent and the experience with Harti, our sales rep., was nothing but pleasant. He put my son in a truck he can afford and made the usual experience of dealing with car dealers a thing of the past. Harti had the truck looked at and anything and everything that needed to be worked on or gone through to make me feel better about the purchase he had fixed at no additional cost and covered under warranty. I cannot express enough of a pleasant experience with Harti and the Berkenkotter Dealership! If looking for a used pick up truck I recommend giving them a chance!

I recently purchased a used Dodge Ram 2500 from Berkenkotter. The experience was far superior to any other dealership experience I had. Sometimes the best way toi understand a dealership, is not to see how they act while making a sale, but how they act after the sale. I bought a 2009 Dodge Diesel truck from Berkenkotter in Castle Rock, and just three days after purchase a key emissions component failed leaving the vehicle undrivable. The piece that failed could not have been predicted, nor was it of any fault of the dealer. Instead of just giving sympathy to a very costly repair, they actually called to the Dodge dealership and checked the vin to find the part could be replaced under warranty, and then picked up the truck themselves from the repair shop and took to the dealer and got the work done. This was all on their own and was not asked of them. I cannot be appreciative enough for their customer service.

This dealership was great. I surprised at the great selection they had, and Harti even showed me inventory at the other stores--so really great selection, esp. of trucks (what I was looking for). Prices were really good--I feel like I got a really good deal, and will definitely go there again as well as recommend it to others. Their whole inventory is online complete with tons of photos--that was super helpful. Working with Sam and his folks has been my best vehicle purchase experience, by far, that I've had to date. Here are the highlights: During the purchase: 1. I went to Sam's lot looking to trade my jeep for a used Ford F350. I ended up purchasing a low-mileage 2004 F250. We were able to come up with a deal for trade in and purchase price right there in the parking lot.... no, he didn't need to talk to his supervisor and counter my offer over and over again. I told him what I wanted, he told me what he wanted, we shook hands and it was done. 2. The vehicle needed a Cat Converter, so I agreed to pick it up later that afternoon. When I picked it up, he had the vehicle finished on time, AND he had the emissions test complete! He charged me nothing extra. After the purchase: 1. After I had put 20K miles on the truck, it suddenly wouldn't start. I googled the symptoms, and came up with a fuel pressure problem. I was terrified that I'd have to have the fuel pump replaced right before Christmas, which I know is an expensive repair. I called Sam to get the name of the diesel mechanic he used. Sam not only had one of his folks pick me up from where he was stranded, he let me borrow a car for two days while the truck was getting repaired. When I got the bill for the repair, it was missing a few things. There was no charge for towing. There was no charge the the car I used for two days. And, instead of them replacing the fuel pump, the mechanic, Mark, found it was a smaller problem, so overall I paid less than $500. Incredible, because I am a female, and have been "taken to the cleaners" on several occasions over vehicle repairs. Sam has an integrity and customer service ethic beyond all I have ever dealt with before. I won't buy a vehicle anyplace else. Thank you Sam!

My family has been buying cars from Berkenkotter Motors for years, and their service and integrity has never changed. The guys who work there go out of their way to find the right car for their customer at the right price. You always know exactly what you are getting with them-- they are honest and it's obvious that selling cars comes second to respecting their customers. When the sale is done, they still go above and beyond to make sure they continue to support their customers. I can always call to ask for help, advice, and suggestions when it comes to my car. Berkenkotter Motors is probably one of the last trustworthy businesses in car sales. Dan and BJ have become friends of my family at this point!

I have yet to buy a truck from Berkenkotter, but I have purchased four trailers from them. I own a small business in castle rock, and am always in a hurry.... I have never had an out the door sale that lasted greater than 45 minutes. The last trailer they sold me was a keystone raptor 3612 toy hauler. The trailer was about $6k below blue book to begin with, but atop that Bj put new tires on it (6 total not cheap!) fixed a jack and the stairs.... Things that they did not have to do for the price of the trailer! On a different trailer, I had to transport some specialty product to Wyoming the following day and uhaul was already closed. Bj hooked me up with a motorcycle trailer 5 x 8 brand new for a little over $600 bucks! I couldn't find one on Craigslist for less than a grand! I have purchased a 24 foot car hauler and skid steer dump trailer with similar experiences. The other day I was in with an itch for a mid life crises car.... They threw me the keys to one of their corvettes...l after me driving it for a good hour, I came back and said it was not the right fit for me. Now I have never test drove a car for an hour before without that dealership trying to keep me at their establishment until I was driving home a mistake.... Not Berkenkotter Steve just told me to keep checking back they would get the right one in, when they do I will buy it from them!

This is the first online review I have ever done, it is just not something that I do. But I was so completely pleased with my whole experience with Berkenkotter Motors that I am more than happy to write this review. I was looking for a very specific and hard-to-find cargo van for my contractor business. I did a national search and was prepared to have to buy out of state. I was very pleased to see that Berkenkotter Motors in Castle Rock had it just a drive away and for a better price than any of the out of state dealers. I worked with Roman, who was very professional and personable. He gave me a great deal on the vehicle and when I made a severe error on the paperwork he went the extra mile to make the corrections. In every aspect of my buying experience I give Berkenkotter Motors a perfect 10. I would and do recommend them to my friends and family and I feel confident recommending them to you.

Went to berkenkotter motors in castlerock co off of plum and wilcox...went to get a vin number on a different car verified for registration. Roman was the employee who helped me out and I went on to tell him what I was looking for and how much I had at the moment...my first pick was a no go but he suggested a beautiful 99 grand Cherokee which was perfect! This was my very first car of my own and he was very helpful with everything and am so great full that I found a dealer that wanted to help me get into something that will last me for a while. In November 2012 I went to Berkenkotter Motors South, in Castle Rock, Co looking for a good used car, and Glenn Young help me find my 2002 Saturn L300. He asked what I was looking for at the time, which I didn't have a clue, and he let me test drive a few cars, "WITHOUT" that Car Sales man pressure. Glenn had a very friendly personality, and was really easy going, which I liked He also, searched his inventory at the other 3 locations Berkenkotter has in Castle Rock North, Parker & Brighton. He was able to have the cars I thought looked good, brought down to his location for me to test drive. A few weeks later and a few dealerships later as well, I went back to Glenn and I bought my 2002 Saturn L300. It was clean, and ran awesome, it looked like it was new, instead of a 10 yr old car. Even when we were signing all the paper work, he was able to explain everything clearly, without that "Just sign here & here" that I have gotten in the past from other dealerships. My only problem I had was 6 weeks after owning the car, I had totaled it in an accident. I really loved this car, and it was a no brainer on who I was going to buy my next car from. I called Glenn, and told him about the accident. That same day, he sent me links on cars that I might like. He bent over backwards trying to find me something I would like, and I have to tell you, I'm a very picky person to please. About 10 days later, and about a dozen or more different test drives, he was able to find me an 2003 Acura TL which was loaded to the max. He worked with me on price since I was a repeat buyer, and had everything fixed and ready to go. He even delivered the car to my job and handed me the keys, which was awesome service. Working with Glenn and BJ has been one of best experiences I have had when buying a used vehicle. When I called Glenn looking for a truck, they did not have what I was looking for. However, he remembered me and when one came in he called. If I could only count the dealers that did not follow up; they were many. The price of the truck and trade-in of my vehicle was as good as it gets from the start. No inflated prices and high pressure. I had researched the values before comining and they made me a good deal without haggling. Here is the best part. When I test drove the vehicle, I noticed a rumble when I turned to the right. I told BJ about it. He agreed that he had heard it too. The next day the veheicle went to the shop and they had it repaired before I took delivery. Credit goes to the owner as well as he was the one giving the OK for everything. All thoughout the transaction, I got good service and they always did everything they said they would. Bought a used camper van this weekend and it was the perfect transaction. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. No pressure sale. These guys made a dream come true! They will be the first I will check with if I ever need another vehicle. BTW, while deciding on the van took a lunch break and discovered a great mexican restaurant across the street next to subway. The fresh home-made posole was the best! All in all a great day :)

These guys are awesome! I started off in the Castlerock store the other day where I met Allen who was incredibly nice. Allen didnt have anything on his lot that fit my needs. I searched for a few more days for something I liked and ended up back in Castlerock. I remembered how nice it was working with Allen and decided to give Berkenknotter Motors another shot, Maybe they aren't all like Sam. This time I had the pleasure of dealing with Allen again and owner Dan, who worked dilligently to find a truck to fit my needs. They found me a 2003 Ford F150 on thier Brighton lot. A beautiful truck at a great price. I took the drive to Brighton, where I honestly had the best car buying experience possible. I looked the truck over up and down. In and out. Took it on a long test drive and decided this was the truck for me. Now for the part everyone hates. The haggeling. I sat down in the office with Hartie and shot him a fair price. Rather than try to wrench his fingers into my pocket book like most salesman do, he agreed it was and we struck a deal. Bam,that simple. I was out of there in under an hour. Unheard of. Hartie, Dan, and Allen treated me so well there is now way I will go anywhere else to buy vehicles in the future. These guys have earned my business as a loyal customer and I will recomend them to anyone looking for a used car or truck. These guys sell cars like cars should be sold. Honestly and professionally. Have bought 3 cars and trucks from these guys, about to buy 2 more trucks. Never had any issues with the dealer, in fact they've gone out of their way to fix problems with one of the vehicles, even though they were pre-existing, and still sold it to us at a lower price than sticker. After reading other reviews from previous customers it is clear to me that the people who have had bad experiences with the vehicles they've purchased are inexperienced or just ignorant. These are used cars and trucks, they didn't just come off the assembly line. You not being responsible enough as a consumer to research your purchase and have it checked by a licensed mechanic prior to buying it does not make berkenkotter motors a bad dealership. It makes you an idiot. Both castle rock locations are great places and people to buy vehicles from. We've dealt with the Brighton location, very helpful and friendly up there also. The parker location has not given the same helpful and friendly service to me personally, however they were not overly rude, I just have a better relationship with the people in castle rock. Do your part as a buyer and let them do their's, then you'll leave in a good vehicle at a good price and it won't cost you in the long run.
