1950 Nash Ambassador

Ultra Motorsports is thrilled to offer this classic American family sedan. In a time when the United Sates was still rebuilding and family was #1, in came the Nash Ambassador. This particular model was the top of the line Airflyte model, which makes it extremely rare and extremely desirable in it's current condition. This car was fondly nicknamed the "bathtub", but the designers of this vehicle has the consumer in mind when they built it. The Ambassador was quite cutting edge technology for its time. The closed fenders and sleek body lines claimed to have 20% less drag than any other vehicle on the road. Then add OVERDRIVE, a fold down bed interior, and window screens...... this just may have been the ULTIMATE FAMILY road trip vehicle of its time. The exterior of this car has had at least one repaint in its life and shows very well. There are small "check" marks in the paint, but the body has NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF RUST. Based on the door jams and engine compartment, this is certainly the original color for the car. New weatherstipping has been installed and all panels close tightly and evenly. All chrome and trim is original and worn, but still shows well. The underside of the car shows only surface rust and is very solid with NO EVIDENCE OF NEEDED OR PREVIOUS REPAIRS. The interior is perhaps the nicest and most original feature of the car. The seats, headliner, dash, carpet, and door panels are ORIGINAL and in very nice condition. The fold down seat operation works perfectly. The inside of this car is bigger than most New York City apartments! The original metal screens for the back windows are included and in excellent condition. Mechanically the car is very sound. The vehicle starts immediately, idles, shifts smoothly, and drives straight. THIS VEHICLE ALSO HAS OVERDRIVE! The 6cyl engine and manual transmission are in great shape as well. Several service receipts are also available along with an original owners manual. All instruments are in working order. The radio even works! Overall this vehicle is a classic piece of American history that has been preserved remarkably well.
