1965 Ford Cobra Factory Five

Factory Five is perhaps the most well known brand of replica cobra. These cars draw a "thumbs up" everywhere they go. Having been built by DeRosa Racing in Pennsylvania, it is very clear upon inspection that this car was built the right way. The craftsmanship is apparent as you spend time really looking at all connections, geometry, and assembly. This little monster is powered by a performance built 351 cubic inch engine with pro pistons, performance intake, 750 Holley Carb, and Comp Cam. This power is paired with a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission that will slam through gears and lay rubber at a stoplight, or buzz down the highway at a comfortable RPM. For a performance function yet vintage looks, this car sits atop Halibrand aluminum wheels and Nitto R-17 tires. To combat overheating, a custom aluminum radiator from Tri-State Motor Sports has been added. Four wheel disc brakes and hoses by Wagner will make all this power stop on a dime. The exterior of the car is finished very nicely, with only a few small inconspicuous stone chips. The chrome and trim are in excellent condition. The iconic side pipe exhaust rumbles and ensures you will never sneak up on anyone. The exhaust fit is excellent and the pipes are nestled in like a Cobra waiting to strike the calf of any unsuspecting rider. The interior is vintage in style, but with a modern exotic twist. The seats, carpet, Simpson Race Harness, and ergonomics of the cockpit lend themselves to true vintage. The carbon fiber dash and door inserts are a well placed modern touch. The dash is filled with new vintage styled Auto Meter Cobra gauges. Overall, this iconic sports car is an absolute blast to drive. This is a fan favorite at any car show. While the sound of this car may cause babies to cry at the local ice cream shop, I assure you their fathers will be smiling ear to ear.
