This is a numbers matching and completely restored Shelby. This car was purchased from a private collection about two years ago and has been part of our collection ever since. This vehicle is Shelby # 03374. This vehicle IS A REGISTERED SHELBY and appears on page #899 of the 1997 edition of the Shelby American World Registry Manual. In 1968 only 4,451 Shelby cars were produced. Of the 4,451 produced, 1,457 were GT350s. Of the 1,457 GT350s, 404 were convertibles! Of the 404 convertibles produced, 190 were automatic transmission.... Now comes the exclusive part... Of those 190 convertible, automatic transmission 1968 Shelby Cobra GT350s produced, 38 were painted CANDY APPLE RED! Of those 38 cars that were convertible 1968 Shelby Cobra GT350s finished in candy apple red and featured an automatic transmission, 34 of those cars had Black Décor Bucket Seats. AND ONLY 6 OF THOSE 34 CONVERTIBLE, AUTOMATIC, CANDLE APPLE RED W/ BLACK INTERIOR, 1968 SHELBY COBRA GT350s HAD AIR CONDITIONING!! That's right... 6... !!! Now that sounds like an exclusive piece. This car shows very well. This vehicle is VERY close to #1 quality. The restoration time and restorer are unknown to us, however I am certain that once this car hits the internet there will be people calling who know this car.
