The term "IT'S ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE" ...... has never fit quite so well. This 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a true SURVIVOR. It is important to note that when we refer to the term "survivor", we are saying this vehicle is EXACTLY the same as it was from new. This vehicle is in UNRESTORED ORIGINAL condition. The odometer shows an amazing 542 miles. This is backed by a NOTARIZED TITLE and ODOMETER STATEMENT that states ACTUAL MILES. This car comes to Ultra Motorsports from the "George C. Elliot Collection". On the exterior of this car the original (L 32 K) (39) PHOENIX RED paint shows very near perfect. A VERY slight patina lends itself kindly to the originality. There are no rust spots, bubbles, bondo, or previous paintwork. All chrome and trim is perfect. The inside is the original (50) BLACK LEATHERETTE interior. The interior shows very well. There are no rips or blemishes on the seats. The dash, door panels, gauges, and headliner are perfect. There is a small area of interior trim near the back window that seems to have "shrunk' over time. The weatherstripping is original and in excellent condition. Pictures are available upon request. Mechanically the car is like new as well. Let's not forget, this car has less than 600 ORIGINAL miles on it! All engine parts and components are original. The engine compartment still has all the original labels and markings. The 1600cc engine and unique Auto-Stick transmission are running in perfect sync. The underside of the car looks like that of a 2 year old car. There is no excessive wear or rust. It is important to mention that this vehicle was not parked somewhere carelessly and forgotten. This vehicle was in a PERSONAL MUSEUM where it was maintained and cared for. The car comes with the original window sticker and owners manual. Also included is the original spare and tools. The front storage area of the car is in near perfect condition as well. The only issue we have found is a some damage to the original cardboard insert. This part is easily replaced and does not affect the originality of the car. 1974 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN GHIA.
